The work portrays the Pope in an expressive and dynamic pose. St. John Paul II blesses the faithful by walking, an image that has remained in the collective memory and that the work helps to perpetuate.

Saint John Paul II - portrait on glass
Portrait on glass made with grisaille technique and Tiffany liking technique.
In this window, thanks to the skilful use of the grisaille glass decoration technique made in several steps of decoration and backing, it was possible to obtain a nuanced design rich in details. At the same time, the tiffany binding technique has freed the artist's creativity in defining the shape of each single glass piece: the final result is a work with a particularly vivid and realistic effect. The work reveals the serene and at the same time thoughtful expression of that precise moment.
