Artistic windows in etched mouth-blown glass
Our Lady of Tears Sanctuary in Syracuse celebrated the 50th anniversary of the tearing of a plaster painting of the Immaculate Heart of Mary which occurred in 1953. Dressing in a new light through the creation of a series of artistic windows, Albano Poli translated into images the words of Father Maria Turoldo who recounts the mystery of divine salvation. Through the transparencies and colors of mouth-blown glass, the artistic windows created are linked to each other and thanks to their abstraction, the community can catch a message revealed through the light that makes the glass appear "live".
